As we planned to build this van, we used a variety of online sources for inspiration and planning---from YouTube channels, Facebook groups, and websites by DIY builders and professional builders. I want to highlight one resource that was immensely helpful as we started to design, purchase materials, parts and supplies, and in a few instances, our go-to source to figure out a few BIG problems we encountered along the way. The Ford Transit USA Forum is a community of owners and enthusiasts and provides a wealth of information and ideas if you have a Ford Transit and want to discuss anything and everything related to the Transit. It offers a range of topics for all versions of this van and for all types of purposes - passenger vans, work vans, and in our case, adventure vans.

So why am I sharing this with you here? Well, Ryan recently posted a brilliant and technical overview of the van build to this forum here:

It's our way of giving back to all those folks who have inspired us in our own van build. If you want to see the magic (and countless hours) behind this madness that we have started upon, you can also take a look at his post and geek out on it. And if you haven't figured it out, I have a pretty talented builder! ❤️
